The new picture for this tribe of my first homebrew. I got a beer machine for Christmas ( www.beermachine.com ) and so far, the results are impressive!

Fri, January 14, 2005 - 5:14 PMhmmm... a party....
If it is good, then there may be a party. If not, I will have to suffer through 28 12 oz. servings on my own.
I'll keep you posted though! -

Re: Homebrew!
Fri, January 14, 2005 - 7:12 PMI forgot tot tell you this last night, but was sidetracked by...beer. a boyfriend and I used to brew beer, um, practically every week and I don't think it ever came out poorly. A few times we ended up with some interesting science experiments everything that was obviously drinkable kicked ass. Had a LOT of fun with that.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your labors.

Re: Homebrew!
Fri, January 14, 2005 - 12:12 PMHomebrew is the nickname my buddy Gee (sanfrancisco.tribe.net/person...7d172ae likes to use for his pals. Hence, you are now officially dubbed "Homebrew". Nice to know you're the only one who can actually live up to it :-)

Re: Homebrew!
Sun, January 16, 2005 - 5:31 PMOk dad, I will need to make another batch especially timed for your arrival. I had a half pint of my first batch today. It is still clarifying a bit, but now that it is cold it really does taste like beer! Perhaps I need to try this batch out on some locals with experience, and get some pointers in preparation for the Big Test in May. -

Re: Homebrew!
Sun, May 22, 2005 - 5:53 PMI have made the decision. It was close, but after sampling the beer about threeee times I have decided. It is excellent; and so convenient to have a pony keg right there on the top shelf of the fridge. The family standards live! -

Re: Homebrew!
Mon, May 23, 2005 - 5:51 PMI said threeee. That's Lawler family code for lots. I got a Texas Holdem question. If there are three players and player three calls the big blind, then player one calls the big blind. Can the big blind raise? -
-
Re: Homebrew!
Mon, May 23, 2005 - 8:43 PMYes, absolutely, the big blind can raise. Posting the blind is not considered acting on your hand, so you have the right to act on the hand when it's your turn.

Re: Homebrew!
Sun, February 27, 2005 - 7:32 PMIt was my new years resolution last year....
to learn how to make beer and to learn how to knit...
I had a 15 dollar bet that I could not knit a beer cozy...
I did it... but knitting is not as me as fermentation and alchemy...
Do you have a pic or a link to how you are brewing beer? -

Re: Homebrew!
Sun, February 27, 2005 - 10:51 PMWe just bottled our porter this evening. We tasted the futures and they're *good*...pretty hoppy, but surprisingly sweet and definitely a hint of chocolate.
It'll be ready for drinking in a couple weekends. Yum.
